The Founder’s Vision
Soldier Security was founded by retired Baltimore City Police Sergeant Myron E. McClain. Mr. McClain’s 22-year tenure with the police department uniquely qualifies him to lead Soldier Security, LLC in its mission to provide superlative security services. “Security You Can Feel” truly means something to Mr. McClain — the impetus for forming the company was to provide free services to an elder care facility with whom he works amidst his many community projects. During his career in law enforcement, Mr. McClain was entrenched in community initiatives as well as specializing in burglary and investigations.
Operations
Soldier Security bases its operating structure and business ethics on the organization that gives most Americans the greatest feeling of security: the United States Armed Forces. Not only is Soldier Security based on the same “lead-by-example from the top-down” structure, it holds each and every member to the same personal standards: task-oriented, dedication, courtesy, bravery and highly-trained to accomplish the mission.
What is mission one?
The Soldier “Mission One” plan is an integrated system of personnel and materials. It combines positioning a soldier in the neighborhood to become a team-player and a vital resource for both residents and police. Teaching resident volunteers to patrol in uniformed pairs or teams will increase the presence of Solider Security without increasing the cost to the community. The participation of neighbors in the overall strategy is empowering, community-building and confidence-enhancing. The addition of signage, window stickers and optional wired security systems will create a well-rounded crime deterrent strategy.
